| How do I make a
reservation? |
| Please use the
reservation page to
inquire about the unit and period that you are interested in. I will
reply with availability and price information (generally within 24
hours). If the unit is available, you will be given the option to sign a
short term rental agreement. |
| How does the
whole rental process work? |
| Once you send the signed agreement back,
you will be asked to make a $300 security deposit to confirm your reservation. Rent
is due upon arrival and the security deposit is refunded to you
once the unit has been checked following your departure. On the day of your arrival,
my property manager will arrange for your keys and be on call in case
you encounter any difficulties at any point during your stay. |
| Can I use my
credit card to make the security deposit? |
| Yes. Visa and
MasterCard are accepted via Paypal.
Please note that I will only accept deposits from the verified contract holder.
To ensure a secure transaction,
all rental payments must be made using Paypal,
which will also
verify my identity to you. |
| What facilities
are in the building? |
| Both units are in
the Delrio, a 1950's era art deco condo-hotel at 11th &Collins. The
Delrio has a
terrace on the rooftop and coin operated laundry facilities on the
ground floor. You'll also find a cafe on the ground floor with internet facilities and a porch
where you can have breakfast and read your morning newspaper. There is no pool (the
public beach
being 1 block away). |
| What is the difference between your
condo and hotel room? |
| My units are
almost twice the size of a standard hotel room, and the bedrooms are
separated from the living area. They have a full kitchen including
dishwasher and microwave. The front unit has two bathrooms. Both units also have special sound-insulating
windows, so they are quieter than most hotel rooms in the area. You are
provided with all linens, towels, etc. but there is
no daily disturbance from room service. |
| How do I get there? |
The easiest way is to take a taxi or the airport shuttle bus, and ask to be taken
to "the corner of 11th Street and Collins Avenue on Miami Beach", our building is directly
across from the Tudor Hotel, and next to
the Nash Hotel.
When driving: Follow I-95 onto I-395 East. I-395 becomes the
Macarthur Causeway which eventually becomes 5th Street on South Beach.
Continue on 5th Street to Collins Avenue. Turn left (north) onto Collins
Avenue and proceed to 11th Street. The Del Rio will be on the left hand
side of Collins Avenue (on the far corner of 11th). It is an approx. 30
minute drive from the airport. |
| Will
I need a car? |
| If you are flying to Miami, I
recommend that you save yourself the hassle and expense of a rental car. You
will not
need one since local attractions are within easy walking distance of the condo. For excursions, you can
still obtain a rental car on Miami Beach at one of the local rental
offices. |
| Where do I find
off-street
parking? |
| There are secure garages
nearby which will look after your vehicle for between $6-9 per day. I recommend the
municipal garage at 12th and Washington Drive
(just 1 block away, behind the City Police Station), the city garages at
9th/13th and Collins Ave, or the Pelican Garage at 10th and Collins Ave (just
1/2 block away). |
